The Learning Resources Center diverges for emphasis
in form and materials from the existing campus buildings
to establish a strong campus identity. This includes
a “campus entrance canopy,” while relating
by its gray aluminum panel color to the existing
building’s fascia panels.
The Learning Resources Center is designed to
be the previously lacking focus of campus identity,
centrally linking the existing campus elements
both physically, for climatic and functional reasons,
and symbolically for educational and philosophical
reasons.
